In October 2010, at the prestigious ceremony held at the Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, Denise Coley, the Director of Cisco Systems Inc. announced: “and the winner is…Micro-Fresh®!”
It was official, Micro-Fresh® were the winners of the National Award for Innovation and Micro-Fresh CEO, Byron Dixon, remembers:
“The audience clapped and began to look for the award winner. At this point I realised that we won and I needed to get up! I was gob smacked! I couldn’t believe it and then somehow I staggered to the stage quite punchdrunk and unable to speak, which is quite unlike me! I was, however, delighted and spent the next half an hour sitting at the table in a state of shock unable to eat or drink anything”.
